Hot, sunny weather on Saturday meant that fishing was fairly difficult, however conditions improved on Sunday with regulars Roger Smith & Martin Wright both catching their 8 fish limits at the Cages. Some first time anglers also managed to catch. A number of limits have also been caught in the Main Bowl. Fish have remained in the top 3 or 4 feet of the water & anglers have been using floating & intermediate lines. Best areas for boats are Main Bowl, Chingley, the Cages & Bramble Point/Seven Pound Creek

There has also been an improvement in bank fishing. Bank regular Peter Woodgate netted 8 rainbows from Bramble Point & anglers have been catching at Chingley

Biggest fish for the week was a superb 5lb 2oz brown caught by Ray French from a boat at Bramble Bay with a small black Hare's Ear Booby on a floating line

Successful flies have been Hoppers, Blobs, Cormorants & Crunchers

Winners of the Monthly Draw for August are 1st: Tim Ashman, 2nd: A Price & 3rd: Stephen Watson
