Fly-life Survey

Help us with the Bewl fly-life survey

The Bewl Bridge Flyfishers' Club in partnership with the management of Bewl Water, the Salmon & Trout Association, & the Natural History Museum are currently investigating the populations of deep water midges & diatoms in Bewl. These are important sources of trout food & indicators of the health of the water. Preliminary results of the current survey should be available during the winter of 2011. In the meantime, Peter Thomason would ask all anglers to use their powers of observation to help with additional important information regarding the populations of other food items. Your observations can be recorded on the Record Sheet & send to him by by post
